Study of Petrogenesis Andesite Rock in Bualemo Region, North Gorontalo Regency Based on XRF Geochemistry Analysis

The research area is Bualemo Village, Kwandang District, North Gorontalo Regency. With coordinates 0˚ 47' 10" - 48' 40" Latitude and 122˚ 55' 0" 57' 5" East Longitude with an of about 10 km2. This study aims to determine the petrogenesis andesite rocks tectonic setting in area. method used this a mapping geological conditions site X-ray fluorescence (XRF) geochemical analysis chemical content rocks. results showed that stratigraphy area, sorted from oldest youngest, was unit, altered alluvial deposit unit. structure tension joint general direction relative north-south. data have value N 171oE/79o. Based on geochemistry results, it found type magma tholeiitic, its name basalt basaltic trachyte andesite. origin island arc tholeiitic calc-alkaline basalt, being subduction between two oceans, namely Sulawesi sea plate Sula plate.
